Doubleknot is seeking a part-time bookkeeper who can bring some savvy left brain thinking to our right brain operation.

We’re an enthusiastic group of folks who produce award-winning creative for our clients, and we need someone to keep the finances humming while helping us move the company forward. You’re someone who loves challenges and is passionate about improving financial systems, forecasting and profitability, and using data to make more informed business decisions.

If you love accounting and are looking for a flexible, part-time, 3 day/week schedule around core hours, then we should talk! Ideally we prefer someone who is available during normal business hours M-F, but we’re open to some variation to accommodate work/life balance. Tasks include day-to-day bookkeeping and office management as well as special projects, including job cost reports and cash flow projections.

  • Accounting or finance degree, 2+ year’s work experience in accounting
  • 5+ years’ work experience in bookkeeping without a college degree


  • Accounts receivable processing including production of client billing and tracking 
  • Accounts payable processing including set-up of vendors and issuance of Forms 1099 and 1096 
  • Payroll processing and production of employer tax returns, as well as Forms W-2 and W-3 
  • Automated remote deposit with bank 
  • Bank account reconciliations, monthly B&O returns, quarterly reports 
  • Interface with Account team to track project costs, billings, and budgets 
  • Interface with CPA in preparation of corporate and owner tax returns. 
  • Provide financial report to the management team 
  • Office management duties 
  • Perform ad-hoc projects 


  • Knowledge of accounting principles and prior experience with small business bookkeeping 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to prioritize and organize in an environment of change 
  • Excellent QuickBooks skills, proficiency with MS Word and Excel
