ISV Partner Campaign

The Challenge

Microsoft has a massive network of independent software vendors (ISVs) who develop and support applications in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This includes Microsoft Teams, which, in addition to being used by hundreds of millions of people, represents a huge opportunity for developers to integrate and scale up their applications. The purpose of our campaign was to get more developers to build apps for Teams, so we had to let them know about the financial opportunity Teams represents as well as Microsoft’s robust partner support program. 

The Outcome

We concepted and designed an awareness campaign, which included digital and social ads and video content to support the landing page. Our concept incorporated familiar digital collaboration language and interface elements from Teams (with a little bit of a wink) to help the target audience see just how valuable (and easy) it could be to get their apps on Teams. 

The 60-second video we developed balances lighthearted animation with hard hitting content. It was intentionally scripted and designed in a modular way, enabling us to easily create cut-down versions that helped our clients tell a more bite-sized story in social media channels.

The ads use clever plays on well-known language and interface elements, but strategically, they enable Microsoft to optimize deployment around different messages: the scale benefit, the financial benefit, and the vendor support benefit.
