One of Northeastern University’s (many) satellite campuses is right in our back yard. They were growing fast, and as a result they were now the primary tenant in two buildings in the South Lake Union Neighborhood. That meant they now had a lot more flexibility to brand their space. They came to us for a wide range of interior and exterior signage and graphics. The goal was to stay true to the core brand, while creating a unique sense of place in the PNW.
We tailored our approach to create a multi-layered consumer experience. Exteriors focused on awareness and visual impact, while interiors created a more intimate and narrative experience for the students and staff. We used representations of our local urban life mixed with global storytelling elements that tied together Seattle’s unique history and culture and the diverse student body that is drawn here.
